Tigers saw another big blow after their woeful 92 runs defeat at the hands of Afghanistan in their first ODI, when Nushfiqur Rahim may be rulled out for final two matches due to an injury.

It would be a great setback for the Tigers, as they would have to play the remaining two ODI of the ongoing three-match series against Afghanistan.

It was learned from Sharjah that Mushfique suffered a finger injury while keeping the wickets in the 49th over during the first ODI at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Wednesday.

Bangladesh suffered a 92-run humiliation following a sudden batting collapse in the first match and ruling out of the wicket keeper batter is a big sad news for the Tigers.

Mushfique had the injury when he was keeping and had to bat down the order than his usual position. The experienced batter came to bat at number seven and could score only just 1 off 3 deliveries.

The chief physician of the BCB Debashish ensured that Mush would be uncertain for the next two matches of the three-match ODI series.

Debashish, who has been with the Tigers for a long time as team doctor said according to an information from Sharjah that the injury was suspected as fracture in his finger and if it would be confirmed then he will be uncertain for the next matches.

“Mushfiqur might have had a hairline fracture in his finger, as it is being suspected. It can only be confirmed after tests. We are yet to get the details of the nature of his injury,” said Doctor Debashish.  Bangladesh is now trailing the series 1-0 with next two ODIs against Afghanistan scheduled for November 9 and 11, respectively, at the same venue.
