Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. ASM Maksud Kamal said initiatives will be taken to gradually bring all the students of the first year and second year honours classes under the scholarship with the aim of improving the quality of life of students and full development of talent.
He said this while speaking as chief guest at the programme of 'Dhaka University Alumni in the UK Trust Fund' at Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban on Thursday.
President of DU Alumni in the UK Maruf Ahmed Chowdhury, General Secretary Meshbauddin Eco also spoke with DU treasurer professor Momtajuddin Ahmed in the chair.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. ASM Maksud Kamal said that the scholarship of the alumni will play a helpful role in developing the students as responsible people.
He requested the leaders of 'Dhaka University Alumni in the UK' to further increase the scholarship fund.
