Students must inform their parents, educational institutions or persons concerned without any delay if they have any symptom of coronavirus, urges Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni.
She came up with the assertion while talking to reporters after attending a programme at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Medical University on Thursday.
About the death of a student in Manikganj with coronavirus symptom, she said, “We have heard about student. Her classmates have undergone corona test and everyone's report is negative. However, the issue is under our constant supervision.”
“Corona is a virus that can infect anyone, anytime and anywhere. We are continuing our monitoring activities in this regard. My call to parents, teachers and people concerned is that everyone should come to the educational institutions and attend classes following the health rules strictly,” she said.
She further said that if corona symptom is found in any student, the parents should immediately inform the teachers concerned. Teachers and officials concerned have also been instructed to take proper measures in this regard. Moreover, supervision should be strengthened so that there would be no violation of health rules.
A schoolgirl, Subarna Islam alias Rodela, from Manikganj died on Wednesday with coronavirus symptoms. After the incident, much anxiety grew among students and parents across the country.
