Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh, Mayor of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), has urged the people of Dhaka city to provide information regarding the source of aedes and dengue, not only through the telephone contacts of the control room, but online as well.
In a video message on Friday, DSCC Mayor Barrister Sheikh Taposh called on the city dwellers of the capital to provide information regarding the sources of disease prone elements online.
"Anyone, from any area of the capital, even online through our website can give us information regarding where the aedes larvae are, where the source is and where the patient is," said DSCC mayor Sheikh Taposh. Immediate action will be taken as soon as authorities get acknowledged of the issue.
"Based on the information we received from the health department about dengue patients, our mosquito workers, led by our councillors, are going door to door. We are trying to eliminate the source of the aedes larvae”, he said.
He further said that operations are being carried out to find and eliminate the sources and it is all being monitored from the control room.
Any resident of South City Corporation can provide information on the source of Aedes mosquitoes or larvae and Aedes patients in the allocated form. Based on the application received, Dhaka South City Corporation will take initiative to crush the aedes mosquito larvae completely free of cost in any house.
City dwellers can also contact the control room on 017099008 and 029556014 to provide information about the source.
