The name of the information ministry has been changed to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
The Cabinet Division issued a circular in this regard on Monday (March 15).
Earlier on March 1, Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud at a function in the capital said that the name of the ministry was ‘Ministry of Information and Broadcasting’ just after the independence.
He also said that the step to change the name of the ministry due expansion of the work the ministry.
