Industries ministry top in project execution

Among the large allocated ministries, the Ministry of Industries is at the forefront of project implementation till May 2020.

As per a review of the ADP implementation progress report by the Implementation Monitoring and Evaluation Division (IMED) of the Ministry of Planning, out of the 15 large allocations, the Ministry of Industries has implemented a maximum of 79.03 percent of the Annual Development Program (ADP) allocation till May 2020.

The information was reveled today at the Revised Annual Development Program (RADP) review meeting for the fiscal 2019-20, said an Industries Ministry press release.

Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun attended the virtual meeting as the chief guest while State Minister for Industries Kamal Ahmed Mojumder attended the meeting as a special guest.

Industries Secretary KM Ali Azam presided over the virtual meeting.

Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun said the production activities should be continued in the industries maintaining the health-safety rules to tackle the COVID-19 situation.

He called upon officials of the Industries Ministry to be more proactive in making profitable of the industries under the ministry.

Kamal Ahmed Mojumder directed the authorities concerned to complete the remaining work of the Central Effluent Treatment Plant (CETP) at Savar Tannery Industrial City as soon as possible before the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha.
