Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun on Saturday said everyone must work together to prevent the coronavirus pandemic.
“We must work together to prevent the corona pandemic. Besides, we are working to realize the dream of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman,” he said while addressing as the chief guest at a food distribution function among poor people on the occasion of National Mourning Day at Belabo upazila parishad auditorium in Narsingdi district this afternoon, said a press release.
“Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has made arrangements for mass vaccination across the country to prevent the coronavirus pandemic and increased the number of hospitals and hospital beds,” he added.
He further said, amid the coronavirus pandemic, everyone must obey the rules instructed by the government and wear masks.
He called upon the people’s representatives as well as ward, union and upazila level political leaders and activists to come forward to make the government’s mass campaign successful for preventing Covid-19.
Among others, Belabo upazila parishad chairman (acting) Moniruzzaman Bhuiyan Jahangir, upazila women vice-chairman Sharmin Akter Khaleda, Land commissioner Shahinur Akhter and Officer-in-Charge of Belabo Police Station Safayet Hossain were present at the function.
