Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh visits BD Police Academy

Her Excellency the Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Riva Ganguly Das visited Bangladesh Police Academy in Sardah and Bangladesh-India Friendship Building funded by the Government of India today. This building provides IT related training facilities to the academy which was inaugurated by the then Home Ministers of the two countries in July 2018.

 During her visit, High Commissioner was received by Mr. Md. Nazibur Rahman, Additional Inspector General of Police. And then she was provided a Guard of Honour, followed by a presentation about the Academy.

Later she addressed the trainees of the Academy calling them, “the   future custodians of law and order in Bangladesh” and inspired them to serve the community in a professional manner but without losing the human touch.

The High Commissioner was accompanied by Mr. Sanjeev Kumar Bhati, Assistant High Commissioner of India in Rajshahi and Mr. Vishal Jyoti Das, Second Secretary (Visa & Consular), High Commission of India, Dhaka.
