Member of Nimtola BOP under BGB-58 battalion arrested an Indian citizen along with smuggled sarees and warm clothes from village Akundobaria in Chuadanga Sadar upazila on Wednesday.
The arrestee is Sanjoy Kumar, son of Somo Ronjit of village Gede in Kroshnonagar Thana under Nodia district of India.
According to Kamrul Hasan, additional director of BGB-58 battalion, Indian citizen entered into Bangladesh with smuggled goods. On information, a team of Nimtola BOP under BGB-58 battalion raided the area, arrested him and after searching recovered 5 pieces of saries and 40 pieces of warm cloths. A case was filed with Chuadanga police station in this connection.
