India plans to approve the Covid-19 vaccine for the elderly and those at high risk in the workplace.
In other words, in addition to the world record for daily corona infections, steps are being taken to take into account the rising rate of transmission of the virus at an alarming rate.
Thousands of deaths have been reported in India every day this month. So far, 78,586 out of 475,000 people infected with corona have died.
Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan said, "India is considering urgent approval of the Covid-19 vaccine. If it's the majority, it could be a start, especially for older citizens and those working in high-risk areas. "
He did not say when the vaccine would arrive, but said the results of the clinical trial should be confirmed in the first three months of 2021.
Harsh Vardhan said, "The government has recently set up a vaccination expert team to look into various issues related to the supply of vaccines to people at risk."
