India’s Apollo Hospital team visits CU

A delegation from India's Apollo Hospital, visiting Chittagong University, informed them about modern medical services and special facilities for various diseases. 

An exchange meeting was held between Chittagong University and a delegation of Apollo Hospital in the conference room of CU Vice-Chancellor's office on Thursday.

Chittagong University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shireen Akhtar and CU Pro Vice-Chancellor (Academic) Prof. Benu Kumar Dey were present in the meeting.  The members of the delegation are Apollo Hospitals International Patient Division Vice-President Dr. Jitu Jose, Managing Director and Chairman Shafiq Azam and Center Head Sanjida Saeed.

CU Registrar (Acting) Professor SM Monirul Hasan moderated the meeting.  Prof. Dr. Sahena Akhter, Dean of CU Faculty of Medicine, spoke on the occasion  CU VC said that neighbouring country India is a true friend of Bangladesh.  India and Bangladesh have excellent cordial relations in business, industry, health, investment, etc.  In the field of modern treatment, diagnosis and medical care, proper guidance is very important for all including the teachers, officers and employees of Chittagong University.  Moreover, it will play an important role in the treatment of complex and difficult diseases in various hospitals in India.

He thanked the delegation of Apollo Hospitals of India for coming to the CU campus and shed light on Chittagong University.

CU VC presented gift items to the guests in the meeting and the guests also presented crests and gifts to the CU VC.

During the exchange of views, the members of the delegation gave detailed information about the modern treatment at Apollo Hospitals in India and pledged their cooperation in providing proper guidance to the CU family members regarding their treatment in India.  

Deans of various faculties of CU, leaders of teachers' associations, provosts of halls, presidents of various departments and directors of institutes, proctors and assistant proctors, heads of offices, officers' associations, employees' associations and employees' unions were present in the exchange meeting.
