The Pakistan army was defeated by the Mukti Bahini and the Indian army. Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman ensured the security of people of all religions in Bangladesh through the four national principles in the 1972 constitution.’
This was stated by Dr Rajiv Ranjan, Assistant High Commissioner of India to Bangladesh, in his keynote address at a discussion on communal harmony, development and progress of Bangladesh. Swapan Chowdhury presided over the discussion meeting on Wednesday at Loknath Mandir and Jagannath Ghat on the occasion of Titi Barunibathing.
