Income Tax Fair-2019 draws huge attention across country

With the slogan of  'Sobai Mile Dibo Kor, Desh Hobe Swanirbhor’, the countrywide ongoing Income Tax Fair turns festive on Saturday, a weekend, as thousands of taxpayers thronged the fair venues in different districts to receive tax related services including opening e-TIN, submitting tax returns and paying taxes in a hassle-free environment.

However, the weeklong Income Tax Fair-2019 has begun with the main thrust of inspiring the taxpayers in paying income tax spontaneously coupled with boosting the number of new more taxpayers from Thursday.

In Habiganj, a 4-daylong Income Tax Fair-2019 formally began at the Zila Parishad Auditorium from Sunday.

Lawmaker of Habiganj-3 constituency Advocate Md Abu Jahir inaugurated the fair by freeing pigeons and balloons as the chief guest at 11.30am on Sunday.

Later, a discussion meeting was held at the Auditorium. Join Tax Commissioner of Sylhet Circle, Shahed Ahmed Chowdhury presided over the discussion meeting while Mayor of Habiganj Municipal Md Mijanur Rahman was present at the special guest.

At that time, Assistant Tax Commissioner of Habiganj Mohammad Abdur Razzak, Additional Police Super (Revenue) Tarek Mohammad Zakaria, Additional Police Super Md Selim Mia, Advocate Nolini Kanto Roy Niru, Shankar Paul along with others were also present.

In Sherpur, ATM Ziaul Islam, deputy director of local government inaugurated the Income tax fair at the premises of District Income Tax office on Thursday.

Emdadul Haque Khan, Assistant tax commissioner of Sherpur tax zone presided over the programme while Prof Sarwar Jahan of Sherpur Government College was present as the chief guest.

At that time, Municipal Mayor Golam Mohammad Kibria Liton, Highest taxpayer of the district Ilias Uddin, President of District Income Tax Committee Abdul Hakim Fakir along with others were also present.

In Narail, a four-daylong Income Tax Fair-2019 has begun on Sunday.  Deputy Commissioner of Narail district Anjuman Ara inaugurated the tax fair as the chief guest while Join Tax Commissioner for Taxes Zone-Khulna Md Mohitur Rahman Chowdhury presided over the programme.

Superintendent of Police Md Jashim Uddin, President of Narail Chamber of Commerce Md Hasanuzzaman, President of Narail Taxes Bar Association freedom fighter Sharif Humayun Kabir, Md Wahiduzzaman addressed the programme as special guests.

In Magura, a 4-day long tax fair has begun on Sunday and will continue to Wednesday.

Income tax office of Magura circle arranged the tax fair at the premises of Magura Syed Atar Ali public library on Sunday morning.

Meanwhile, a total of 11 stalls have been set up in the income tax fair to help and encourage the people for taking TIN and submitting tax returns.

Deputy Commissioner of Magura Asraful Alam inaugurated the fair as the chief guest.

In Rangpur, taxpayers are rushing to Income Tax Fairs-2019 being held at the divisional, six district and five upazila level headquarters in Taxes Zone of Rangpur for the fourth consecutive day on Sunday.

Officials at the Tax Commissioner of Taxes Zone-Rangpur said that the weeklong income tax fair is being held at Zila Parishad Community Centre in Rangpur divisional city from November 14 last.

The four-day district level income tax fairs are now being held at Dinajpur, Lalmonirhat, Panchagarh, Kurigram, Thakurgaon and Nilphamari district headquarters too.
