Import-export stopped at Benapole on Janmashtami

Import-export activities are closed at Benapole on the occasion of Janmashtami of Lord Krishna, the god of the traditional Hindu community. However, passengers with passports are still able to travel actively.

Benapole port authorities said the route would be closed from morning to evening on Tuesday (August 11th).

Deputy Director (Traffic) of Benapole Port Mamun Kabir Tarafdar said that on the occasion of Janmashtami of Lord Krishna, import and export activities of all types of goods of Petrapol Port of India have been stopped with Benapole Port. Commercial activities will resume on this route from Wednesday morning.

Benapole Checkpost Immigration Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohasin Khan said that the import-export through Benapole port is closed but the immigration office is open. Those who have permission to travel will be able to travel.
