Import and export activities between Bangladesh and India through Benapole land port have resumed from Thursday, two days after Benapole C&F staff members were banned from entering the Indian Petrapole port for commercial purpose. Following a meeting between the representatives of the two countries concerned on Thursday morning the import and export activities resumed.
Earlier on Tuesday, February 24, noon this import-export route was closed. Abdul Jalil, Deputy Director (Administration) of Benapole Land Port, said instructions have been given to all, so that traders can discharge their goods as soon as possible.
