Illegal occupiers fined Tk 63,ooo in Raozan

Raozan Upazila administration conducted mobile courts to  evict the footpaths from the grip of illegal occupiers at various roads in the upazila on Tuesday  afternoon.

Headed by Aung Sing Marma, Assistant Commissioner of the Upazila and Municipality Administrator,  Executive Magistrate of the Mobile Court conducted drives in Ranagamti highway from Munshirghata of Raozan upazila from Jalilnagar, Fakirhat bazar. All the illegal mobile shops including the Futcha shops, fruits shops were evicted from over the footpath. Those illegal shop owners were fined Taka 31,000 in 16 cases filed under Local Government Act (Municipality)-2009

On the other hand, another mobile court was conducted in some auto-rice mills in Razozan upazila. Four traders of those rice mills were fined an amount of Taka 12,000 for not using jute bags in their mills. The same day afternoon, the mobile court realised a fine of Taka 20,000 for opening an illegal sand sales centre by occupying at Paschim Gohira Sarterghat area on Chattogram-Rangamati highway. 

In separate 16 cases Taka 63, 000 fine was realised by the mobile courts.

Aung Sing Marma, Assistant Commi­ssioner of the Upazila and Municipality Administrator of Raozan said, the mobile courts were conducted to ease the movement of the passerby through the footpaths and to remove the traffic jam.
