A delegation team of the International Islamic University of Chattogram (IIUC) paid a courtesy call on the newly president-elect of Bangladesh Mohammad Shahabuddin on Thursday afternoon.
IIUC Vice-Chancellor Professor Anwarul Azim Arif, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Mashrurul Mawla, Treasurer Professor Dr. Mohammad Humayun Kabir, BOT Member and Finance Committee Chairman Dr. Engineer Rashid Ahmad Chowdhury, BOT Member and Female Academic Zone Chairman Rizia Reza Chowdhury, Registrar AFM Akhtaruzzaman Kaiser were present during the visit. Professor Dr. Abu Reza Muhammad Nezamuddin Nadvi MP said, “IIUC is the first class private university in Bangladesh. This university takes effective steps to develop the students as patriotic good citizens in the spirit of the liberation war.”
“Adequate facilities for quality education and research are ensured in the beautiful spacious modern campus.” He added. With the aim of highlighting the correct history of Bangabandhu and the great liberation war, 'Mujib Corner' and 'Bangabandhu Research Center for Islam and Interreligious Dialogue' have been established in the campus, he said.
The newly elected President was invited for the 6th Convocation of IIUC and the President gave instructions to hold the Convocation next year.
