IIAB holds seminar on risk-based auditing

A seminar on "Internal Auditors role in risk-based auditing and fraud investigation" organised by The Institute of Internal Auditors Bangladesh (IIA Bangladesh) held at Audit Bhaban in the capital on Saturday. 

Comptroller and Auditor General of Bangladesh Mohammad Muslim Chowdhury was present as the Chief guest. IIA India Past President Krishnaswami Vidyadaran and IIA India president Uma Prakash presented the keynote papers. 

Among others Past President Raihan Shamsi, IIA Bangladesh President Ajit Kumar Paul, IIA Bangladesh Secretary GeneralAmitava Saha, IIA Bangladesh Immediate Past President Mohammed Iqbal Hossain along with other members of the BoG, IIA Bangladesh were present. 

IIA Bangladesh Past President Khondkar Atique-E Rabbani, IIA Bangladesh Vice President Nanda Dulal Saha, and Capital Market Stabilization Fund (CMSF) COO Md. Monowar Hossain were discussants in the Seminar. 

The speakers emphasized the need for risk-based auditing and fraud investigation practices in Bangladesh. More than 150 professionals from both public and private sectors and the members of IIAB, ICAB, ACCA, ICMAB and ISACA participated in the Seminar.
