Inspector General of Police Dr Mohammad Javed Patwary on Saturday emphasized on scientific-based investigations to unearth properly the truth behind the sensational cases.
He made this remark while inaugurating six courses including the 100th aid to good investigation course at the Detective Training School in the capital.
He said, “We must unearth the clues of sensational cases through scientific, cyber, forensic and DNA tests.”
He told the participants of the training courses to conduct investigations giving due importance. He urged them to unearth mystery of cases by proper investigations.
He said, “CID is a hundred year old organization. CID has extra-ordinary success and glorious tradition.” “I urge all of you to work professionally for upholding the prestige of CID”, he added. The boss of police said, “By 2041, Bangladesh will be turned into a developed country.”
So police personnel themselves also must take preparations to be fit for police of a developed country, Dr Javed Patwary further said.
Later, IGP formally inaugurated the courses. Earlier, he laid the foundation stone of the 10-storey new academic building of Detective School. The program was presided over by Additional IGP of CID Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun. Adl IGPs Dr Md Moynur Rahman Chowdhury, Biswash Afzal Hossain and Md Shahab Uddin Koraishi and other senior officials were present at the program.
