Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre, High Commission of India, Dhaka organised an evening of ‘Panchokobir Gaan Aar Kotha’ by Rabeya Akter, Mehreen Rehman and Mahbubur Rehman Manju yesterday at Kabi Sufia Kamal Auditorium of Bangladesh National Museum, in Shahbag of the capital.
Rabeya Akter was devoted to music since her childhood and got many prizes in ‘Jatio Shishu Kishor Protijogita’ during her school days. She is regularly performing in various TV channels and is a Special Grade Artist in Bangladesh Betar and Bangladesh Television.
Awards won by her include National Children’s Award Competition-1986, Bulbul Lalitkola Academy Inter Competition, Antara Sangeet Academy Award-2016 etc. Mehreen Rehman entered the world of Music under the tutelage of her aunt, Rabeya Akter who is an internationally renowned Singer. She learned music from Shurer Dhara under able guidance of Rezwana Choudhury Banna.
Mahbubur Rehman Monju is a presenter, singer and recitation artist of Bangladesh. He performed in Bangladesh Betar and BTV.
