Rupganj Correspondent: Mustafizur Rahman Bhuiyan Dipu, a member of the BNP’s Central Executive Committee, held a yard meeting with local women in Rupganj, Narayanganj, on Friday afternoon. The meeting, organised at Balur Math in the Hatabo area of Bhulta Union, was part of BNP’s campaign to promote the implementation of the party's 31-point state reform plan announced by Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman. The gathering eventually turned into a large public meeting, attended by thousands of women.
Speaking at the event, Dipu Bhuiyan pledged that if the BNP comes to power, all currently illegal gas connections in Rupganj will be regularised. He also assured that work to resolve the area’s persistent waterlogging issues would begin without delay.
In response to a question from local resident Hena Begum, he added that all illegally occupied land in Rupganj—seized under previous governments—would be recovered. Dipu Bhuiyan called for unity to build a country free from Awami League influence and its associates.
Among those present were Rupganj BNP Vice Presidents Anwar Sadat Sayem and Ashraful Haque Ripon, Organising Secretary Bakir Hossain, Bhulta Union BNP President Abbas Uddin Bhuiyan, and other leaders from the volunteer, youth, and student wings of the BNP.
