The government’s disease monitoring agency, IEDCR, has warned all against the fake facebook account of its director Prof Meerjady Sabrina Flora.
In a statement, it said on Sunday that they had noticed few fake accounts against its director’s name including ‘Dr Sabrina Flora’ which were disseminating “unscientific and confusing” messages.
It urged all not to be confused as the director has never run such a campaign through facebook.
The people are urged not to be misled by those posts, which are meant to ‘tarnish’ the image of IEDCR and the country, it said.
“IEDCR is already taking necessary steps in this regard and is specifically requesting everyone to cooperate.”
