IEB donates oxygen cylinders to TMCH

Engineers Institution of Bangladesh donated oxygen cylinders to Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Medical College Hospital (TMCH), Gazipur through a virtual event organized by Max Group's Oxygen Support Center. On Wednesday, Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology (DUET), Gazipur Vice-Chancellor and IEB, Gazipur President Professor Dr M Habibur Rahman presided the programme.

Former President of IEB and Secretary of Science and Technology section of Bangladesh Awami League Engineer Md Abdus Sabur inaugurated the programme. During the inauguration, he mourned for the martyrs on August 15. He recalled the worthy leadership and inspiration of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and expressed his gratitude to IEB for taking such a noble initiative. At the time, the Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr M Habibur Rahman mourned and paid homage to the martyrs of 15th August. He also remembered the four national leaders and all the martyrs of the liberation war. He said the use of oxygen has increased as the level of transmission of the global epidemic has increased. He also thanked the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for inspiring the IEB and Max Group to come forward jointly. He mentioned that it would be easier to deal with the Corona epidemic if other wealthy individuals and organizations of the society came forward and took such steps. He also called for building a developed state for the welfare of humanity under the leadership of  Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Speaking as special guests on the occasion, IEB President Engineer Nurul Huda, Vice-President Engineer Nuruzzaman, General Secretary Engineer Shahadat Hossain Shiblu, Principal of Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Medical College Dr Md Abdul Quader, Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Medical College Hospital Director Md Hafiz Uddin and others were present at the programme.
