Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Saber Hossain Chowdhury has said that ideal educational institutions like Notre Dame College can play a vital role in building Smart Bangladesh as per the vision of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
“Smart society is needed to build a Smart Bangladesh. Smart citizens are needed to build a smart society. Good educational institutions can make smart citizens,” he said.
The environment minister said these while speaking as the chief guest at the function organised on the occasion of the 75th founding anniversary of Notre Dame College on Friday (January 26, 2024).
Saber Hossain Chowdhury said that ideal educational institutions like Notre Dame College create the leadership of the society, the leadership of the country. “We have to work for the economic liberation of the people of our country. Everyone should work together to build a developed prosperous non-communal welfare state of the father of the nation’s dream,” he said.
Saber Hossain Chowdhury said that this traditional institution has been playing a vital role in the field of education and culture for 75 years. “As a developing country, we need skilled and educated manpower to face our challenges. Notre Dame College is playing a vital role in creating such skilled and educated manpower. The minister assured the support of the government for the overall development of Notre Dame College,” he added. College principal Prof. Dr. Hemant Pius Rosario, college teachers, students and parents were present on the occasion.
