In a bid to foster entrepreneurship and boost the startup ecosystem in Bangladesh, the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Academy (IDEA) project and Startup Bangladesh Limited, operating under the Bangladesh Computer Council, Department of Information and Communication Technology, inked a momentous Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Thursday.
The MoU signing ceremony, held at the ICT Department in Dhaka, was graced by esteemed dignitaries, including the Secretary of Information and Communication Technology Department, Md. Samsul Arefin. The agreement was formally sealed by Dr. Md. Mizanur Rahman, the Idea Project Director (in-charge), and Sami Ahmed, the Managing Director of Startup Bangladesh Limited.
The collaborative endeavor aims to empower startups and entrepreneurs holistically across the nation, paving the way for their growth and success. Key components of the MoU include Training and Skill Enhancement, Research Initiatives, Event Planning and Management, Branding and PR Campaign, and Knowledge Sharing Activities.
The signing of this MoU is expected to accelerate the growth of Bangladesh's startup culture, positioning the nation as a hub for innovation and entrepreneurial excellence. The concerted efforts of IDEA and Startup Bangladesh Limited, backed by the Bangladesh Computer Council, are set to unlock new avenues and create an enabling environment for the flourishing of startups.
Prominent attendees at the auspicious occasion included Executive Director of Bangladesh Computer Council, Ranjit Kumar, Information and Communication Technology Department Joint Secretary, Dr. Muhammad Mehdi Hasan, Idea Project Senior Consultant, Siddharth Goswami, Communications Consultant and Head, Sohag Chandra Das, and Research Engineer, Md Ashiqul Islam.
