ICT Division holds ADP meeting of 2021-22

The review meeting for the implementation of the annual development programme (ADP) for the month of November 2021-22 of the Information and Communication Technology Department was held at the meeting platform on Wednesday afternoon. State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak was present at the meeting virtually from his residence.

The meeting was chaired by Azizul Islam, Additional Secretary, Department of Information and Communication Technology.

The meeting discussed in detail the implementation plans of the projects undertaken by the ICT department in the current financial year, achievement of monthly and realistic targets, decisions taken and recruitment of manpower.

The heads of the agencies and the project managers present the implementation plans of their respective projects as District level IT / Hi-Tech Park Establishment Project, Sheikh Russell Digital Lab, Bangabandhu Hi-Tech City-2 Supporting Infrastructure Construction Project, National Information and Communication Technology Infrastructure Development, Info Sarkar-3 Project, Establishment of Information Technology Network in Remote Areas Project, Aspire to Innovate (A2I) Programme, Learning and Learning Development Project (2nd Amendment), Sheikh Kamal IT Training and Incubation Center Establishment Project, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Hi-Tech Park Rajshahi (1st Amendment) Project, Kaliakair Hi-Tech-Park and others Development (3rd Amendment) Project, Establishment of IT Business Incubator at Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology, Capacity Building Project of BGD e-Govt Cert, Leveraging ICT for Employment and Growth of the IT-IT ES Industry Project, Skill Development Project, Mobile Game and Application Skills Development Project, Innovation and Entrepreneur Development Academy Establishment Project, Secure Email for Government of Bangladesh And the financial and practical progress of all other projects, including the Digital Literacy Center Establishment Project, Connected Bangladesh Title Project, Digital Security Agency Establishment and Necessary Infrastructure Development Project and the latest progress at the meeting.

It may be mentioned that in the current financial year, a total of 1 thousand 452 crore 71 lakh taka has been allocated for 26 projects including 23 investment, 3 technical and 1 self-financing projects under ICT department.

It was informed in the meeting that the progress of the projects of ICT department till December 2021 on the basis of project based financial allocation is 30.43 percent.

The Minister of State instructed the concerned persons including the Project Director to ensure 100% speedy progress of projects and complete the work on time while maintaining quality as per the work plan. The project managers promised to complete the work of the projects within the stipulated time.
