Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB) celebrated the Victory Day on Friday to pay deep homage to the martyrs who laid down their lives for the country.
The celebration programme was organizedunder the initiative of theDhaka Regional Chapter (DRC) Sub-Committee of ICSB. Children Fiction Writer Kaiser Chowdhury, Chief Executive Officer of Bangladesh International Arbitration Centre (BIAC)was present as the Chief Guest on the occasion.
Mohammad Asad Ullah FCS, President of ICSB was present as the Chair of the programme and M Nurul Alam FCS, Senior Vice President of ICSB was the Special Guest of the programme. Among others the Council Members, Members and officials of ICSB were present.
In the morning, the National Flag of Bangladesh was hoisted at the Institute premises with the National Anthem. After that, a representative group of ICSB Memberspaid tributes to the martyrs of the Liberation War by placing floral wreaths at the National Memorial in Savar, marking the 52ndVictory Day.
In the afternoon, a discussion programme was organized which was opened by Mohammed Harun-Ar-Rashid FCS, Chairman of DRCand moderated by Md. Shahedul Amin FCS, Member Secretary of DRC.
The Chief Guest of the programme Kaiser Chowdhury thanked ICSB for organizing a discussion programme to celebrate the Victory Day of Bangladesh. He appreciated the theme “Bijoy Ekattor and Bangabandhu”.
