Popular actress of this generation is Shobnom Bubly. After a break, she returned to work on a new movie. In conversation about her new work and other issues with —A Mizan
Saw your status on Facebook about car accident. Tell us in details what actually happened?
- I am working on a new movie titled 'Chokh’. Last Wednesday (Feb 24) while I was on my way home after the shooting. Suddenly a car came in full speed from the opposite side of my car. It would have collided directly with that car, if my car did not brake hard. I was sitting at the back and looked at the car. My hands and feet were as cold as ice that I am still scared I thought the car was waiting for me. No one understands how these sorts of things take place on roads. I have seen death from very close.
Have you seen the number plate?
- I immediately looked back and saw there was no number plate in the car. It was silver color private car and I couldn’t see anyone.
Do you suspect anyone?
-Ever since I started my career I have been facing various problems. People close to me have warned me about this. However, I did not give much importance to this yet. Now I think there are many things that I have ignored the whole time.
But without seeing anyone I cannot say or suspect someone specifically. I just saw a silver color private car.
Is this your first encounter with such an incident?
-There was a time before Corona when I was shooting for a movie titled 'Casino'. On my way home a Micro van tried to push my car in the opposite direction. Back then God has saved me. I did not give importance to the issue then, thought it could happen with anyone on the road. But last Thursday the same thing happened again. So, now there is no chance for me to take this lightly.
Will you take any legal action regarding this?
-I have not reported the matter at home before. When I informed that such incidents were happening to me three times in a row, everyone in the house took the matter seriously. I thought I would file a GD soon for the safety of my life.
After a long break, you are working on a new film 'Chokh' with two heroes. Although you have worked with Nirob before, this is your first time working with Roshan. How was your experience?
-First of all, the story of the movie is great. Director Asif Iqbal Jewel is a very good producer, I have realised while working with him. I have worked with Nirob Bhai before but this is the first time I will be seen opposite Roshan. Roshan is also a very good actor, a lot focused with his work. Overall the work is going much better. I believe the audience will like it.
Many were saying that you will not be seen opposite Shakib Khan. Blowing up buzz, you are again paired with him. What do you want say about that?
- Director Topu Khan and RTV have contacted with me. The titled of the movie is 'Leader-I am Bangladesh'. Work plans and stories are great. People will criticise. My job is to keep working without criticising anything. I am workaholic, so I give more priority to work than criticism.
Have you had any discussions with Shakib about the film?
-I spoke to him normally and did not have any discussions regarding the film. Maybe I will discuss my work with him before shooting the film.
There is rumour about you in movie industry. What do you want to say about that?
-I have all the answers but I would not say anything about rumour. There is story behind every story. I am not paying attention to all this. I am focusing more on my work. Many are attacking me personally trying to force me as well. But we artists talk more about each other. Many of our artists have YouTube channels. That channel runs with another. There they make short videos of each other for viewing. We should all have respect for everyone.
