Mahiya Mahi is a popular Dhallywood film actor. She lives separately from her husband. The news of her broken marriage is a common topic in the film industry. However the actor discredited these rumours with a social media post. Mahi wrote on her Facebook status, 'I am very happy in my family life. There is no trouble between us.’ She wrote, ‘I am with my husband and we are doing well. Your fake gossip is misleading people’.
Mahi was contacted regarding the matter. Mahi said ‘I am shooting for the film 'Anando Osru' in Kishoreganj. Symon Sadik is acting opposite me. Where do they get such news of my breakup? Who gives them the news? Opu and I are doing fine. We are very happy as a couple. I stay in Dhaka when shooting takes. When I am free, I go to my in-laws home in Sylhet. And everyone in the house adores me. Why do they say that my marriage is broken?’
She added, ‘Opu loves me a lot and I respect him a lot. I am very blessed to have him as a husband. I would be a fool to leave someone as amazing as him.’ In addition to shooting the movie, Mahi said she is now busy with her fashion house 'Vara'. And Opu is busy with his business in Sylhet. On May 24th, 2016 Mahiya Mahi married Mahmood Parvez Opu after falling in love. Although both of them had previous acquaintance, they were married with the consent of both families.
