A Brahmanbaria court on Wednesday sentenced a man and his wife to death for killing a man in the district in 2012. Sabera Sultana Khanom, district and sessions judge of Brahmanbaria, handed down the verdict.
The convicts are Afzal Kaiya, son of Amir Uddin, hailed from Rupganj upazila in Narayanganj and his wife Helena Begum. According to the case statement, victim Shukkur Ali alias Falan Mia, 35, of Rupganj upazila in Narayanganj, was slaughtered by convicts on December 12, 2012. Later, watchman of the area filed a case against them in this connection with the Police Station.
