Humayun to join ministerial conference of LDCs in UAE

Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun will join the ‘Eight Ministerial Conference of Least Developed Countries (LDCs)’ at Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from November 2 to 4, reports BSS.

Earlier of the conference, he will gather experience on food processing from the Nestle headquarters and research centre in the Switzerland, said a press release on Sunday. For this, the minister will leave Dhaka today for a four-day visit in Switzerland. During the visit, he will meet senior officials of the Nestle. Later, Humayun will leave Switzerland for the UAE on October 31 and join the eight LDCs conference. He will also take part at a high level ‘Innovation in Partnerships and Fund Mobilization’.

Besides, he will join the ’18th Session of the General Conference of UNIDO’ in the UAE. He will also join two panel discussions on ‘Gender Equality and the Women Empowerment’ and ‘The Future of Inclusive Industry’. The Industries minister will return home on November 5.
