The Namaz e Janaza of director and actor Humayun Sadhu was held at Rahim Metal Jame Mosque in Tejgaon after Juma prayers on Friday.
Redwan Roni, Mustafa Sarwar Farooqi, SA Haque Aliq, actors Mukit, Palash, Mabrur Rashid Banah, Suman Patwari, Mostafa Kamal Raj and Omi and many other celebrities attended his janaza.
All those present at that time expressed their grief at the sad demise of Humayun Sadhu. He was laid to rest at the graveyard adjacent to Rahim Metal Jame Mosque in Tejgaon after Asr prayers.
Humayun Sadhu passed away on Thursday around 2:30 am. He breathed his last while undergoing treatment at the capital’s Square Hospital due to bleeding in the brain.
Director Mostofa Sarwar Farooki confirmed the matter. Earlier, Humayun Sadhu was admitted to the capital’s Bangladesh Specialized Hospital on September 25 after a brain stroke. He was then transferred to Square Hospital after a second brain stroke. There the young director and actor was put on life support.
Humayun Sadhu — an actor, director and playwright — started his acting career with the movie ‘Made in Bangladesh’. He also was an assistant director and worked with Mostofa Sarwar Farooki. Besides, he also starred in the drama ‘UN Manush’. In addition, his first book ‘Nonai’ was published in Amar Ekushey Boi Mela in February this year.
He was working on his first feature length film ‘Homo Sapiens’. His made his first short film ‘Gunjon’ with assistance from director Tareque Masud. He was vocal about social issues through his work as well.
