A human chain was formed on a demand of the transformation
of Patuakhali’s Kalapara
upazila into a district on
Tuesday. The human chain was formed on the premises of Kalapara Upazila Press Club in the morning.
During the hour-long human chain, on behalf of Kalapara District Implementation Committee, Convener of the committee Patuakhali-4 MP Muhibur Rahman Muhib, Kalapara Upazila Chairman Rakibul Ahsan, Kalapara Municipal Mayor Bipul Chandra Howlader, Kuakata Muni
cipal Mayor Anwar Howlader
and General Secretary of
Kalapara Upazila Awami League Motaleb Talukder spoke among others.
Speakers at the human chain said that if Kalapara upazila is
declared and implemented as an administrative district it
would play a huge role in
the socio-economic develop
ment of local people as well as the state.
Later, a procession was brought out in Kalapara town. Locals from all walks of life took part in the human chain.
