Jhenaidah Zilla Railline, Medical College O Biswabidyalaya Bastobayan Committee, a platform of the people conducting movement in the district for their long-cherished railway line, a medical college and a university in Jhenaidah formed human chain at Pairachatter in Jhenaidah town on Sunday morning.
The hour-long human chain demanded fulfillment of their demands at no delay at the most geographically potential Jhenaidah in the south-western part of the country. Jhenaidah Zilla Railline, Medical College O Biswabidyalaya bastobayan committee president Abdullah, ex-president Principal NM Shahjalal, general secretary Qamruzzaman Pintu, district unit president of human rights impleme``nation committee principal Aminur Rahman Tuku, BNP Jhenaidah district unit organizing secretary Sajedur Rahman Poppu and voluntary organization Welfare Efforts (WE) director Sharifa Khatun among others spoke.
Over a hundred activists of different government and non-governmental and cultural organization representatives participated in the human chain, said establishment of a railway line, medical college and a university is one of the long-cherished dream of the people of Jhenaidah. They had urged upon the government to take effective measures for setting up the establishments at no delay. Otherwise they will go for tougher action, they had warned.
