Information and Broadcasting Minister and Joint General Secretary of Bangladesh Awami League Dr Hasan Mahmud has said BNP has been saying for the last few days that the government should be brought down by using all its power. Even before 2018, they united with the right, left and far left wings but, the strength of that unity has vanished into thin air. It has been seen that there is great disagreement among those with whom the BNP is united.

He said that the unity they are still talking about, this unity as they did before, maybe they can do it even if they unite on a piece of paper. Not only has that energy been in the air as before, but there has been a great deal of disagreement among those who have taken part in this unity. That is why some process called 'unity process' has started among

them again.

Dr Hasan said this while speaking as the chief guest at a special extended meeting of the Rangunia Upazila Awami League in Chattogram on Sunday (September 26) evening. The meeting was chaired by Upazila Awami League Senior Vice President Abdul Monaf Sikder while, General Secretary Engineer Shamsul Alam Talukder conducted it. Azgar, Muhammad Ali Shah, Iftekhar Hossain Babul, Shafiqul Islam, Akhter Hossain Khan, Gias Uddin Khan and others.

Dr Hasan Mahmud said that all the world leaders today praise Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. However, the BNP leaders say different things because, they do not see the success of Awami League, Sheikh Hasina's success and they are blind to have eyes and deaf to have ears. They don't listen, they don't understand, they don't see, the situation of BNP is like that. The ludicrous daily talk of the BNP has made the ears of the people tingle.

Hasan Mahmud further said, “Bangladesh Awami League is a grassroots organization. Grassroots leaders and activists are the lifeblood of Bangladesh Awami League. Today we are in power three times in a row because of the organization’s strength and the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Our organization’s roots are spread across the country. In some places laziness has come due to being in power which must be shaken quickly.”

“The election is not too long left. Elections will be held in Bangladesh after a little more than two years. If we participate in that election with full organizational strength, then we will have a landslide victory like in 2018”, he added.

Dr. Hasan Mahmud said, “People's leader Sheikh Hasina is an example to the whole world today. Her leadership is acclaimed worldwide. The Secretary General of the United Nations is praising her leadership; the heads of government of different countries of the world are praising the leadership of Sheikh Hasina, the daughter of Bangabandhu. They took Bangabandhu's daughter to the UN with a special invitation.”

He also said that under Sheikh Hasina’s leadership, Bangladesh has been able to sustain economic growth in spite of the last Corona epidemic. The world leaders want to hear from Sheikh Hasina the success story of the way Bangladesh has dealt with Corona under her leadership. So that other countries can take action, emulate and follow in the light of our success.”
