The Mahamaya Botanical Garden and Ecopark in Mirsarai upazila of Chittagong district has witnessed a huge influx of tourists on the 3rd day of Eid. Mahamaya Botanical Gardens and Ecopark have returned to its former glory with the steps of tourists. A record number of tourists have gathered during the Eid holidays as government and non-government institutions, including educational institutions, are closed. Local visitors have been associated with that. As a result, people are flocking to the Mahamaya Botanical Garden and Ecopark area every day after Eid. The role of the police including the members of the lease committee of the park in securing a large number of tourists was eye-catching.

The park's traders and boatmen are expecting such an overflowing crowd of tourists during the ongoing Eid holidays throughout the week. They say that tourists are attracted to this infinite beauty of nature. Every year thousands of tourists from different parts of the country flock to see this beauty of nature during the Eid holidays. However, due to the epidemic Coronavirus, no tourists have visited Mahamaya Park on Eid last year. After two long years, the situation in Corona is normal and there are no official restrictions. Borhan Uddin Rahat who is in charge of kayaking at Mahamaya Botanical Garden and Ecopark, said Mahamaya has lakes, hills, fountains and rubber dams in the same place. The crooked shape of Koles Lake in the mountains is very beautiful. This lake is located in the middle of innumerable small and big hills. One of the attractions of the lake is the mountain springs and clear water. Everyone gets better when they go kayaking with the family in the blue waters of Mahamaya Lake.

Meanwhile, the day after Eidul Fitr, the Mahamaya Botanical Gardens and Ecopark were visited by a large number of tourists. As there is no hotel facility for tourists in the park, many people have been seen staying in the residential hotels of Bariarhat municipality of the upazila. Regarding the safety of tourists, Officer in Charge (OC) of Jorarganj Police Station Nur Hossain Mamun said, "Jorarganj Police Station is always alert to avoid any untoward situation due to the large presence of tourists."
