The re-scrutiny process for the 2024 Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent exam results has started on Wednesday. This option is available for students who are not satisfied with their results and want their answer scripts to be rechecked. According to the Dhaka Secondary and Higher Education Board, the application period for re-evaluation will remain open until October 22. The re-scrutiny process, commonly referred to as the "HSC Board Challenge," allows students to have their answer scripts reviewed if they feel there has been an error in the grading.
To apply for the re-scrutiny, students must use a Teletalk prepaid SIM card. They need to send an SMS to 16222 using the following format: RSC <space> first three letters of your board <space> Roll <space> Subject Code. For example, if a student from the Dhaka Board with roll number 123456 wants their subject code 111 rechecked, they will need to type: RSC DHA 123456 111. After sending this message, they will receive a reply containing a PIN code and the total amount required for the application process. To confirm the application, students must send a second SMS with the following format: RSC <space> Yes <space> PIN code <space> Contact Number. For instance, the confirmation message would look like this: RSC Yes 78945 01200000000.
A fee of Tk 150 will be deducted for each subject that is submitted for re-evaluation. If a student wishes to apply for multiple subjects, they should separate the subject codes with commas (,). For students of the Madrasa Education Board, the format is the same, but they must use "MAD" instead of their board's first three letters. Similarly, for the Technical Education Board, students should use "TEC." The re-scrutiny option offers students a chance to address concerns about their exam results and request a review.
