The results of the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations will be published today (Sunday).

The copy of the result sheets will be handed over to the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina this (Sunday) morning at her official residence in Ganobhaban. Later in the day, the results will be officially made public by Education Minister Dipu Moni at a press conference.

The press conference is scheduled to be held at the Segunbagicha International Mother Language Institute in the city.

A total of 1,359,342 students — 688,887 boys and 670,455 girls — had registered for this year's HSC exams, 155,935 more than the previous year.

President of Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee and Chairman of Dhaka Education Board, Professor Tapan Kumar Sarkar, said, "All preparations for the release of results are complete."

The results also will be published simultaneously on the websites of respective educational institutions and education boards.

It should be noted that this year's HSC and equivalent exams began on 17 August. The exams were held in 2,658 centers across the country.

Due to natural calamities, examinations under the Board of Chittagong, Madrasa and Bangladesh Technical Education Board were delayed and had begun on August 27. This year full marks and full time HSC and equivalent exams were held. But in ICT, instead of 100 marks, the full marks was in 75.

According to the information provided by the education board, candidates can get their results online or through SMS.

To get the results under general boards through SMS, candidates have to type HSC, the first three letters of the board name, followed by the candidate's roll number and the exam year, and send the message to 16222.
