A press conference was held in Gopalganj on Thursday to make the HPV Catch-up Vaccination Campaign 2024 successful in Gopalganj.
HPV Catch-up Vaccination Campaign will start on November 10 and will continue till November 14.
The press conference was held at the conference room of Gopalganj district Civil Surgeon office on Thursday noon.
Gopalganj Civil Surgeon Dr Masud Rana presided over the press conference. Deputy Commissioner of Gopalganj Mohammad Kamruzzaman attended the press conference as the chief guest.
Gopalganj Superintendent of Police Md Mizanur Rahman, Additional Deputy Commissioner Md Golam Kabir, Deputy Director of Gopalganj Department of Social Services Md Harun-or-Rashid spoke as special guests at the press conference.
The PowerPoint presentation was delivered by Dr Nishat Tamanna, a representative of the World Health Organization. Among others, Mohammad Jasim Uddin, the coordinator of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, also spoke at the event.
During the press conference, Civil Surgeon Dr Masud Rana said the HPV Catch-Up Vaccination Campaign will begin on November 10 in Gopalganj and will continue until November 14. During the campaign, HPV vaccines will be administered to 13,159 adolescent girls, ranging from 5th to 9th grade students or those aged 10 to 14 years.
