On the auspicious occasion of the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relation between Bangladesh and China, I, on behalf of the government and the people of Bangladesh, would like to convey to you and through you, to the government and the friendly people of China, our heartiest felicitation and warmest greetings.
Our two peoples established contacts between them more than a thousand years back which facilitated the flow of knowledge, culture, and trade between the two ancient civilizations. Our Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman paid visits to China in 1952 and 1957. In his book the ‘Unfinished Memoir’ and the ‘Amar Dekha Noyachin’ Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman highly appreciated the passion, commitment, and efforts of the friendly people of China to our people.
Bangladesh and China enjoy excellent relation based on shared values, commonalities in core national objectives, and mutual respect. Bangladesh considers China as a trusted partner for its socio-economic development.
We acknowledge with due appreciation the cooperation and assistance by China during the Covid-19 pandemic situation. We would like to explore more avenues for furthering cooperation to take Bangladesh-China Strategic Partnership to a new height and also work together to address the regional and global issues for peace, security, stability, and development. I am confident that the existing cordial ties between our two countries will be further strengthened in the days to come.
I take this opportunity to wish you good health and happiness and continued peace, progress and prosperity of the friendly people of China.
Please accept, Excellency, the assurances of my highest consideration
