Housing for distressed being constructed in Ishwardi

Under the direction of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, construction work for one destitute person in each upazila has been inaugurated in Ishwardi police station of Pabna as part of housing project for the destitute in every police station of the country.

Pabna District Superintendent of Police Mohammad Mahibul Islam Khan inaugurated the construction work in Arankola area of Ward 7 of Ishwardi Municipality at around 1pm on Thursday. The event was organized by Ishwardi police.

A brief discussion meeting was organized on this occasion. Apart from Superintendent of Police Mohammad Mahibul Islam Khan, Mayor of Ishwardi Municipality Ishaq Ali Malitha, Additional Superintendent of Police (Ishwardi Circle) Firoz Kabir, Officer-in-Charge of Police (OC) Md Asaduzzaman, panel mayor of the municipality 8th ward councilor Abul Hashem and the person who got the house of this project Md. Mamun Sheikh and others were present at the programme. Hadiul Islam, the investigating officer of the police station, Halima Khatun, the owner of the donated land, councilors of the municipality, journalists and well-wishers were present at the time.

In his speech, the district superintendent of police said that under the direction of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, a house for one destitute person is being constructed on two and a half katha land in Ishwardi under housing project for the destitute in every police station of the country. The construction of the house will cost around Rs 2 lakh and the police are cooperating in the construction, he said.
