Miscreants stabbed a housewife to death at Companiganj upazila in Noakhali. The deceased was identified as Nur Nahar Panna, 32. She was the wife of Amirul Haque of Khaleq Siman's house in Charparbati union of the upazila and mother of three children.
The murder took place at Charparbati union of the upazila around 7:00pm on Saturday (September 26). According to family sources, on Saturday evening, someone stabbed her to death and left her in a pond next to the house. The knife used in the murder was also found next to the body. The people of the house saw the body and informed the police.
Companiganj police officer in charge (OC) Arifur Rahman confirmed the truth of the incident and said that the police had visited the spot. No motive has yet been found behind the killing. The body has been sent to Noakhali General Hospital morgue for autopsy.
