A housewife became the victim of organised rape at Sandhitara village under Chowhat union of Dhamrai upazila on Tuesday night. The victim housewife filed a case accusing five culprits in this connection. They were identified as Shamim, Mosharraf, Rubel, Sohel and Sumon of Sandhitara village.
Russel Mollah, Inspector of Dhamrai Kawalipara Bazaar Police Inquiry centre informed, on Tuesday night Shamim threatened the housewife and took her to a Lemon orchard where Mosharraf, Rubel, Sohel and Sumon were waiting from earlier. There the culprits threatened her to kill and raped her collectively by tying her hands and legs, At a stage of raping her, the housewife lost her conciousness when the culprits managed to escape by leaving her on the spot.
After regaining her consciousness, the housewife went to her house and informed the incident to her husband and others and she filed a case accusing five culprits the same night.
The victim has been sent to one stop crisis centre in DMCH for testing. A police team has visited the spot. Police were trying to detain the culprits.
