A housewife died after eating a poisonous tablet at Lalmohan upazila in Bhola district on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Mst Amena Begum, wife of Md Salahuddin of Mongolshikder area under Dholigouranagar union in the upazila.
According to locals, Amena ate a poisonous gas tablet instead of a calcium tablet and shouted instantly.
Family rescued her instantly and took to Lalmohan Upazila Health Complex but doctor referred her to Bhola General Hospital where she died during her treatment.
Lalmohan Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Md Sirajul Islam confirmed the incident.
