A housewife was beaten to death by miscreants in Keshabpur Upazila of Jashore on Thursday morning.
The incident took place in Satbaria village of Keshabpur Upazila.
The deceased has been identified as Momena Begum, 35, wife of Malaysian expatriate Rabiul Islam. She has two children.
Eyewitnesses and family sources of the deceased said that deceased Momna Begum, went to the house of neighbour Abdul Alim.
Abdul Alim and his family abused Momena Begum verbally.
When Momena Begum protested, Abdul Alim hit her on her head with a bamboo stick, and she fell on the ground.
Later, the locals rescued sent her to Keshavpur Upazila Health Complex where the doctor on duty pronounced her dead.
A case has been registered with the Keshobpur Police Station, the police have not yet arrested anyone.
Mizanur Rahman, Officer -in -Charge (OC), Keshobpur Police Station said, “A case was filed in this connection.
However, the investigation is going on. We will arrest the miscreants very soon he added.
