A young housemaid, aged around 19 years old was allegedly tortured brutally over flimsy excuses at a house located under Savar municipality’s Talbag area, on the outskirts of the capital.
"We are investigating the matter and so far we know the victim works at a police constable's house, named Shahed", said Mominul Islam, Inspector of Savar model police station.
The victim alleged on Thursday morning, Sweety Begum, wife of Shahed, the police constable, randomly beat her over filmsy issue as the victim was late to make ready there breakfast. Even the accused Sweety beat her up with frozen milk bottle, and later confined victim into a room instead of arranging treatment despite the victim received critical injuries at different part of her body including on head.
Adding that, on Friday locals taken her to Savar model police station after somehow she managed to escape from the house, and took shelter at a rickshaw garage located Bank Colony area in Savar.
While talking to local journalists, the victim was repeatedly requesting for not send her again in that house, claiming that the accused will kill her if she go there.

Contacted, Mominul Islam, Inspector of Savar model police station said, they yet to confirmed which station the constable works at, adding that police investigating the issue, to file a case in this regard was I underway.
