Former caretaker government adviser and current BRAC Bangladesh chairman Dr Hossain Zillur Rahman’s mother Johra Begum, 87, has passed away (Innalillahi …Rajiun). She breathed her last at her residence in Panchlaish in Chattogram city in the early hours on Wednesday.
Dr. Hossain Zillur Rahman said that he was in Chattogram because of his mother's illness. Two brothers and sisters were giving medical treatment to their mother at home. She breathed her last on at about 2 a.m.
He said that his mother was buried at the family graveyard in Chandnaish after her janaja at Panchlaish.
Johra Begum is survived by four sons, two daughters, grandchildren and numerous relatives and admirers.
