Hosiery worker stabbed to death in Narayanganj

A hosiery worker was stabbed to death by alleged co-worker at Tanbazar area in the town on Thursday midnight. Deceased was identified as Arif, 20, son of Abdul Motin, tenant of Nitaiganj sweeper colony in the town and worker of a newly started hosiery in Riverview complex at SM Malek road in the town.

Soon after the incident Narayanganj sadar model thana police arrested Arif’s co-worker Miraj and recovered a knife from the spot. Quoting Miraj, police said that Arif took loan seven hundred taka from his co-worker Sohrab and a feud continued between them as Arif did not repay the loan. Police inspector Golam Mostofa said that when Arif was returning to his resident after leaving work at midnight, the rivals attacked him with sharp weapon and stabbed severally. Locals rescued injured Arif and rushed to the emergency department of Khanpur Hospital in the town where attending physician declared him dead. Officer in Charge of Sadar model police station Asaduzzaman said that the other criminals to be captured very soon.
