Horijon children get new clothes marking Durga Puja

Kurigram Superintendent of Police Mohammed Mohibul Islam Khan distributes new clothes among more than a hundred children of the Horijon community marking Durga Puja at the Police Lines Hall room on Friday afternoon.

On a personal endeavor, SP Mohibul Islam and his batch mate Abdul Hasib, a businessman donated the dresses among the downtrodden children to make their Durga Puja celebration pleasing. 

More than hundred male and female children of Horijon community received new dress each in the ceremony. These children, residents of a slum near Kurigram LGED office felt very happy receiving the dress in the midst of Durga Puja, the biggest religious festival of Hindu community.

Additional police super of Kurigram Utpol Kanti Roy and Kallol Roy, Kurigram Press Club President Advocate Ahsan Habib Nilu, journalists Humaun Kabir Surja, Sujan Rahman and others were present on the occasion.
