Islam is a religion of peace and fulfillment of life. Terrorism, militancy and communal hatred have no place in this religion. Those who want to establish Islam as chaotic in the society can never be followers of Islam which is a religion of peace.
State Minister for Religion Faridul Haque Khan made the comments while speaking as the chief guest at a meeting on "Promoting communal harmony" organized by the Islamic Foundation at the Agargaon Islamic Foundation auditorium on Thursday.
The state minister said that Islam has ensured the acceptance of all religions. Therefore, it is not justifiable for a Muslim to make any mockery of the scriptures, places of worship and religious rites of the followers of different religions.
“No nation can prosper without ensuring communal harmony. In the absence of communal harmony, the peace and order of the country is destroyed, independence and sovereignty are threatened,” he said.
The state minister added that the dream of the father of the nation was to establish ‘Shonar Bangla’ (Golden Bangla) by establishing religious, social and human rights of people of all communities.
“Under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, we are working towards the goal of establishing Shonar Bangla that is friendly
to all communities and free from exploitation and poverty by 2041,” he said.
